We’re all about the “Give It All” mindset. Bringing your best to every moment and task in front of you, no matter how big or small the task. Dedicating yourself to taking one step at a time to create something amazing. Realizing you have in you the power to do incredible things.
It’s a mindset we model after our namesake Joe DiMaggio’s focus on making the most of each at-bat. His record-breaking 56-game hitting streak didn’t happen because he had lofty dreams of being a legend; it happened because each time he stepped up to the plate, he brought with him the same dedication and devotion to personal excellence —every game, every time.
A single at-bat may not seem like much. But small steps, done regularly and consistently, build up to great things. Why? Because your daily habits determine your life, goals and dreams. It all starts with deciding you’re ready to “step up to the plate” and Give It All, each and every day.
A Give It All mindset can make history and leave your mark on the world.
We want to inspire and encourage you to Give It All towards whatever your goals are, whether they’re to get that promotion, save up for that dream trip or lost 15 pounds. To that end, we’re highlighting some people making waves in the world today with their own Give It All attitudes.
The Give It All Award
The Give It All award is a monthly acknowledgment presented to those people who truly demonstrate the Give It All spirit. Give It All honorees are committed, passionate, courageous and — above all else — inspiring.
Honorees come from all industries and walks of life, and we feature an exclusive interview with each one to learn more about what drives them, how they’ve achieved their big goals, and how you too can invoke a Give It All spirit to achieve yours.
Last month’s honoree was author, speaker, blogger and coach Chris Brogan. This month, we’re happy to present the Give It All award to….

James advocates the pursuit of “small choices and tiny habits” in order to better ourselves and our lives. His advice on habit formation and mastery stems from scientific research and his own life experience and experiments, and it’s presented in a way that’s straightforward, easy to understand and impossible to ignore. If you want a master course on how to change your behavior and build habits that stick, James is your guy.
We’re currently focusing on the importance and power of habits ourselves, with our 56 Days of Giving It All challenge, and we’ve been following along with James’s daily blog posts with heads nodding. His on-the-nose advice is empowering and actionable, and we love his avowed values of “growth,” “self-respect” and “servant leadership.” It’s clear he both talks the talk and walks the walk.
