We’re all about the “Give It All” mindset. Bringing your best to every moment and task in front of you, no matter how big or small. Dedicating yourself to taking one step at a time to create something amazing. Realizing you have in you the power to do incredible things.
It’s a mindset we model after our namesake Joe DiMaggio’s focus on making the most of each at-bat. His record-breaking 56-game hitting streak didn’t happen because he had lofty dreams of being a legend; it happened because each time he stepped up to the plate, he brought with him the same dedication and devotion to personal excellence —every game, every time.
A single at-bat may not seem like much. But small steps, done regularly and consistently, build up to great things. Why? Because your daily habits determine your life, goals and dreams. It all starts with deciding you’re ready to “step up to the plate” and Give It All, each and every day.
A Give It All mindset can make history. It can also help you leave your mark on the world.
We want to inspire and encourage you to Give It All towards your goals, whether they’re to get that promotion, save up for that dream trip or lose 15 pounds. To that end, we’ll be highlighting some incredible people making waves in the world today with their own Give It All attitudes.
We are excited to announce…
The Give It All Award
The Give It All award is a monthly acknowledgment we’ll be presenting to those people who truly demonstrate the Give It All spirit. Give It All honorees are committed, passionate, courageous and — above all else — inspiring.
Honorees will come from all industries and walks of life, and we’ll be featuring an exclusive interview with them to learn more about what drives them, how they’ve achieved their big goals, and how you too can invoke a Give It All spirit to achieve yours.
Our First Honoree
We’re happy to name Chris Brogan as the first recipient of our Give It All award. Chris is a big name online and off as an author, speaker, blogger and coach committed to helping entrepreneurs and business owners take control of their lives and their businesses.
His accomplishments speak for themselves. He’s a prolific author (and New York Times bestseller). Forbes named him one of the Must Follow Marketing Minds of 2014. He’s mingled with big-name movers and shakers like Tony Robbins, Steven Pressfield and Richard Branson. He has 298,000 Twitter followers (and counting). We could go on…
But more than that, what makes Chris worthy of honoring is the person he is underneath it all. In spite of his success, he continues to answer all of his own emails and handle his own social media accounts. He publishes a blog every Sunday, without fail, no matter how busy he is. He is “in the trenches” with his community, showing his followers both his ups and downs and genuinely living what he preaches.
Even though I’ve never met Chris Brogan in person, whenever I see his picture on a blog post or in social media, he makes me smile,” one of his readers shared with us. “He makes me happy, and I have a calm feeling about achieving my goals — that he’s there to help me.”
He is simply, as his About Page winningly states, “a really approachable and… nice guy.” He gives his all to the community he serves.
We believe it’s this compassion and honesty, in combination with an awful lot of drive and hard work, that’s led him to become the success he is today. Both Chris and his Owner Media Group are models of what the Give It All attitude can accomplish.
